As part my application for the Master of Laws (LL.M.) program at the Law School of University of Edinburgh, I had to write a "Research Proposal". I handed in a short explanation of why I want to do research in the area of legal text retrieval and legal citation analysis, with the goal of improving legal text retrieval.
